8th March, 2018
We celebrated International women’s day on 8th March 2018 at the American Centre Lincoln Room with different heads of Women Rights Organizations and the young women social entrepreneurs. CSR is an emerging field in Indian developmental sector. Kutchina Foundation is invariably supporting young women social entrepreneurs to provide sustainable solutions to issues of women and others through innovation, through courage and empathy. Our young leaders Tumpa Adhikary and Saswati Arora were present with their mentors along with founders of other women led organizations, like Ratnaboli Ray of Anjali Foundation, Boitali of Jabala) and respected Maria Fernandez. They shared their history of struggle and long fight with their gender and their journey towards their empowerment which inspired other women and men to fight for their rights, to be responsible citizens and put a mark on the society. These platforms, these story sessions does not only help to inspire our melting potters – the future change-makers but also serve as a networking space between the established social change makers and melting potters. Such stories help them to move forward with their action in their ‘self to society’ journey.
